Van Oosten Advies B.V. was founded to offer clients in IT and project work a calm, substantive alternative to larger consultancy houses. The practice is run personally by Rick van Oosten: one point of contact, no internal handovers.
I have five years of experience as an implementation consultant and adviser in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, at companies in wholesale, steel, manufacturing and the maritime sector. Working on the supplier side taught me how an implementation is sold, planned and delivered. Today I put that knowledge to work on my own account: anything from a full implementation to a second look at what is already running.

Advice that is in your interest, even when that means 'don't do it'. And open about what I earn on: as a Microsoft CSP partner and a Continia reseller I receive margins on licences. Microsoft licences I supply with managed IT are invoiced separately, at Microsoft's list price. If I recommend one of my own apps or a product I earn on, I say so.
I would rather say up front that a question does not suit me than take on work that does not belong here.
I work alongside the team: on the work floor, in steering groups, in the technology. Not only on paper.
Documentation is a means, not an end. I produce what the organisation needs in order to carry on.
