AdresDirect 365: licence terms

1. What you may do

Van Oosten Software grants you, free of charge, a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use AdresDirect 365 in your Business Central environments. The app is free: there is no licence key, no trial period and no subscription.

2. What you may not do

1. Resell, rent out or offer the app as a product of your own.
2. Use the app with an API key of another organisation, or give your key to another organisation.
3. Decompile or modify the app, except to the extent mandatory law permits.

3. The BAG, your API key and other software

The app fetches addresses from the BAG API Individuele Bevragingen of the Kadaster, with an API key your organisation requests from the Kadaster itself; Van Oosten Software does not provide a key. The Kadaster's terms and guidelines apply to that key and to the use of the BAG API, as an agreement between you and the Kadaster. Among other things they say that only the organisation a key was issued to may use it, that the API is meant for looking up one or a few addresses and not for bulk, and which limits apply. You are responsible for your key, for complying with those terms and for the use made of your key through the app, including when you switch on Look Up for Imports and APIs. Van Oosten Software is not a party to that agreement and has no influence on the availability, the limits or the content of the BAG. Microsoft's terms apply to Business Central.

4. Sources

Addresses come from the BAG of the Kadaster, which is open data (CC0). The province per post code area is derived from GeoNames data (geonames.org), available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence (CC BY 4.0). For this the app contains a table of 4,086 post code areas; anyone who redistributes that data credits GeoNames as the source.

5. Personal data

Addresses of sole traders and private persons can be personal data. The app stores the house number in your own tables and fills in your own address fields and the Post Codes table, in your own environment. You are the controller for that data. What the app does with data is set out in the privacy statement for the app.

6. No warranty

The app is supplied as it is, with no warranty that it is free of errors or runs without interruption. An address is as accurate as the BAG holds it, and the province is derived and can differ for a single post code. Whether a lookup works also depends on the BAG API, on your key and on your Business Central environment.

7. Liability

Van Oosten Software is not liable for indirect damage, consequential damage, lost profit or loss of data. For direct damage, liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months preceding the damage. This limitation does not apply in the case of intent or deliberate recklessness on the part of Van Oosten Software.

8. Telemetry

Van Oosten Software receives technical telemetry about how the app works, without post codes, house numbers, addresses, names or your API key, as described in the privacy statement for the app. The addresses the app looks up stay in your own environment.

9. Updates

New versions can add functions, fix errors or change screens. The manual on this website describes the current version.

10. Term and termination

You can stop at any time by uninstalling the app. On termination the right of use ends; the data in your Business Central environment remains yours, including the post codes the app added to the Post Codes table, and so does the responsibility for keeping or erasing it.

11. Changes to these terms

Van Oosten Software may change these terms for future versions of the app. The version in force when you installed a given app version continues to apply to that app version. The date at the top of this page shows when this text was last changed.

12. Governing law

This agreement is governed by Dutch law. Disputes are submitted to the competent court in the district of Zeeland-West-Brabant.
