Postcode Atlas: privacy statement
This statement is about the Postcode Atlas app in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. This website has its own separate privacy statement, linked at the bottom of every page.
The short version
The app processes no personal data and sends no data out of your environment to Van Oosten Advies B.V. The post code data ships inside the app and is written into your own company.
What the app writes
The app writes post codes, place names and province or county names into the standard Post Code table of the company you choose. That is reference data about places, not data about people. In addition the app records, per country, how many post codes are present in the company and when the app last loaded them.
Where that data stays
In your own Business Central environment, at Microsoft, under the terms and the geography you agreed with Microsoft. Van Oosten Advies B.V. has no access to your environment and receives no copy of your data.
Telemetry
Business Central can send technical telemetry about an app to its publisher: whether an operation succeeded, how long it took and which error occurred. That is about how the app behaves, not about your data. Once this telemetry is enabled for Postcode Atlas, Van Oosten Advies B.V. receives it through Azure Application Insights, stored in the European Union. It contains no post codes, no customer data and no content from your company.
Sub-processors
Microsoft, as the provider of Business Central and of Azure Application Insights. Nobody else.
How long data is kept
The post codes in your company stay until you remove them with the Remove Post Codes action or uninstall the app. Telemetry is kept for at most 90 days.
Your rights
Because the app processes no personal data about you or your customers, there are no GDPR rights that apply to this app. Questions about it can be sent to info@van-oosten.nl.
