Set Up CustomerGate 365: the assisted setup guide

Set Up CustomerGate 365 is the app's guide under Assisted Setup in Business Central. It asks for the few things the app needs to work and saves them on CustomerGate Setup, where you can change them later.

The steps

Welcome to CustomerGate 365, Steel 365
What the app does, and whether its Steel 365 module is active. That depends on whether iFacto Steel 365 is installed in the environment; it cannot be set.
Connect the Website
The application (client) ID of the website's Microsoft Entra application and, if the website synchronizes the catalog, that of the synchronization application. The client secret stays with the website; it does not belong in Business Central.
E-mail
Notification E-mail (the inside sales address for notifications), Inside Sales Language, Send Confirmation E-mail and Send Notification E-mail. The line E-mail Account shows whether Business Central has an account to send from.
Customer Portal
Portal Address: where customers sign in, starting with https://. Leave it empty while the portal is not open yet; the e-mail about an approved account request then says that the portal opens soon.
Finishing Up
With Repair Permissions Now on, Finish also registers the two applications and gives them their permission sets. That needs the SUPER permission set; without it, an administrator does it later with Repair Permissions on CustomerGate Setup. CustomerGate Setup then opens.

What the guide leaves to you

The guide does not turn on the two job queue entries. They are installed on hold, so that installing the app sends no e-mail and erases nothing. Once the e-mail account, the notification address and the retention period are right, choose Turn On Both Jobs on CustomerGate Setup. The setup guide on this site lists the remaining steps, up to a first test through the portal.
