Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

Business Central that fits the way your business works

You want an ERP system your people can get on with, that grows with you, and where not every change turns into a new quote. I am a Business Central consultant working on my own account. I implement end to end, build where the standard falls short, and look over the work from your side of the table.

Business Central is a mature package for finance, purchasing, sales, inventory and manufacturing. When things go wrong, it is rarely the software. It is the choices around it: customisation that rebuilds standard functionality, a scope nobody has challenged, integrations that depend on one person. That is where my work is.

What I help with

How I work

  • End to end, or next to your partner. I run a full implementation myself, or sit on your side next to the partner you already have.
  • Standard first. Customisation only where the standard demonstrably falls short, because every piece of it costs money at every update.
  • I know the supplier side, so I know where a proposal leaves room and where a plan is tight.
  • You have one point of contact, who works in the system personally.

Background

My Business Central experience is five years of implementation and consultancy work in wholesale, steel, manufacturing and maritime companies: organisations with stock across several sites, several legal entities, and processes that do not fit a standard demo.

Frequently asked questions

Do you implement yourself, or work with a partner?

Either. I can run an implementation end to end: setup, data migration, testing, training and go-live. If you already have a partner, I work on your side next to them and keep an eye on the setup, the scope and the decisions.

Do you work with Business Central online or on-premises?

Both. For new implementations I almost always recommend the online version. On-premises still has a place where there are specific requirements, but the cost of updates and administration then sits with you.

Our system has been live for years. Can you still help?

Often that is exactly when. After a few years, customisation has piled up, updates are postponed and nobody quite remembers why something was set up the way it is. A short review shows what can be cleaned up and what can work better.

What does an engagement cost?

That depends on its size. A second opinion or readiness scan is a defined engagement of a few days. An implementation or migration is a project. We agree the form up front: time and materials with a cap, or a fixed price when the scope is sharp.

A question about Business Central?

Briefly describe where you are: exploring, in the middle of an implementation, or live for years. In a first conversation you hear whether I can help, and if not, who can.
